Debbie, that's a very interesting question...I know my ex never treated the kids of his other wives as if they were his own. To him those were "her" kids, no ownership whatsoever.... frown

any who-de-who...
It sounds like you have a really great guy, just needs a little more practice being around kids. I know it will work out for you.

I think one of the more difficult moments are like today....valentines day...It would be nice to have someone to share it with, even though the valentine's I got from the kids were GREAT...but still...how many other people are spending valentines day, working on a computer, doing laundry, playing doctor to a son with 102 fever, while cooking seafood alfredo for dinner??? grin

Kudo to all the single parents out there. I have a couple of divorced sisters who are working hard, going back to college to finish all while raising their beautiful children. I try to encourage them all the time and help when I can and I'm in their city.

It's a tough job and sometimes they feel they are not going to make it or find that one real "right" guy, but I try to remind them to keep their heads up and the same to you all. Again Kudos!!

I agree Debbie. It is hard dating someone who has no experience with kids because they dont understand the trials and tribulations that come up and your partner may get jealous because the "kids come first".

It is better dating a single parent but then again that could come with issues. Your partner may not care for your children very much or the kids may not get along so I guess there really is no easy answer.
