  • Iraq - Advocate of the surge strategy and believes Iraq is pivotal in the fight against Islamic terrorists. Wants to send more troops to Afghanistan.

Daisybun - I'm glad to see you listed Sarah P. I can't believe I forgot to mention her on my list. I definitely agree with him on his VP selection!

I disgree with McCain on his VP choice. There must be other Republican women far better prepared to become VP than Gov. Palin. What about Elizabeth Dole? Olympia Snowe? Lisa Murkowski? or any number of the other Republican women in Congress? How about other women governors like Jodi Rell of Connecticut or Governor Linda Lingle of Hawaii? Gov.Palin is not the best chioce. I think John McCain just rolled the dice by picking Palin. McCain likes to play "craps", but this was not a good roll of the dice for him or the GOP.

I think Sarah is a GREAT choice because you must admit, that none of the women you listed above have experience dealing with the oil companies. Not to mention her committment to reform and tackling of it, which the above women haven't dealt with either.
And that's just two of my reasons.

Well, after the election it is very unlikely that Sarah Palin will be a candidate for any office outside the state of Alaska. Reports are coming out already that there is a lot strong disagreement, finger pointing and accessing of blame within the McCain-Palin campaign. One ascertion is that after he election many Republicians will point to Palin and her campaign staff for a McCain loss. For details read this article, Unrest in the Palin campaign

Who cares where else she runs AFTER the election? The focus I'm on is THIS election.

That he supports a strong military which will protect us now and in the future.

Being a veteran, I have learned that the futuristic visions of "one-world, one-peace," cannot bear fruit because of the myriad of megalomaniacs around the world. We must protect ourselves from the likes of Putin, Chavez, Kim Jong-Il and many of the same ilk. There have been too many of them in the past and there will be many more in the future years to come.

I was raised a Democrat, made up my own mind to switch to Republican, but now consider myself an Independent with no party ties.

Bowling Editor, It is good that you are independant and have an open mind. Not many people are so open minded. There have been Republican Presidents that have been Good or Great for this country like Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford and George Bush Sr. There also have been Good and Great Democratic Presidents like Jefferson, FDR, Truman, Johnson and Clinton. Both parties have contributed a great deal to this country. Fortunately, we sometimes get just the leader we need in the most difficult times in our history like Lincoln during the Civil War, FDR from the Depression through WWII and Ford in the crisis following Watergate. We are so lucky as Americans that great leadership comes along when we truely need it.
