Yes, you probably wouldn't want to tell them there was an island within sight. I would made the same choices as your students to eliminate the strongest thinking that they would be strong enough to swim.

Again, like our old exercise, the choice of the cheerleader is based on stereo types. Many cheerleaders are athletic, smart and very resourceful as I worked for a few of them in the corporate environment before.

This sure is a fun exercise. I am glad you were able to use it in your class. smile

There is a wide range in the ages of the students from 19 0r 20 to 50+. There are far more women in the classes. There are more students in the 20's but still a number of students from 40 to over 60.
