i had to have them check the state library system. my local one did the same thing. MI has an exchange system between ones all over the state. if your state has a similar system, then your local librarian can check it (but'll probably only do that if you specifically ask). he also has one called "the wicked history of the world" that might be easier to get. i searched by his name - terry deary. best of luck!
