I like the compromise idea, plus, what's your friend's hesitancy? We did a crazy dance but it's not as memerable as you think, especially if someone's not into it. On the other hand, if she just needs a little push, she could really enjoy it.
Only do it if you guys are into it. People are simply going to clap, no matter what. That's what people do during these things.
If she's just recently engaged, she might be wanting to think about the bigger picture. Maybe she's taking the engagement seriously?
