Rosie, have you tried a damp headband and wristbands? Those can *really* help keep you cool. Also, drink water with ice cubes in it. Cool yourself off from the inside!

I did a ton of "chores" last night - I completely emptied all my desk shelves of books. Lots of walking around and carrying things. My old UPS blew up a month or so ago but it's still under my desk because it's plugged into the wall behind my desk and I couldn't get to it. My new UPS is plugged across the floor. So we need to get everything off this desk structure, lug it all away from the wall, unplug the old UPS and then this time plug a regular high-test power cord into the wall. That way when the new UPS dies a natural or unnatural death we can just replace the UPS without going through this all again.

Yesterday was my date night with my honey so I didn't get in a decent evening workout. I wanted to at least so something, so I did a 20 minute easy treadmill workout before going out to dinner.

We also did some after dinner walking along the shore of Lake Arrowhead, which was nice but not a workout per se. We just meandered, but it was a very pretty evening on the water, and it did settle our stomachs after our delicious dinner out. smile

Hey sometimes you need an emotional stress-reliving period, which is like a workout, but different! It keeps your emotions and mind in good health smile So good for you for doing that!

Finally I got some exercise in. The main TV started working again so I did just over an hour of WiiFit, and did every yoga section in there plus a lot of walking and running things. That was good.

I did the "meditation" challenge (sitting perfectly still) and was finally able to master it! Hurrah! I really wanted to do that because my boyfriend had maxed it out using my account, so my name was on top, and I wanted it to be really me who had done it if I was in that spot.

Today I tried Qi Gong for the first time (pronounced cheeee gong) and it was nice and relaxing! It really points out how weak my arms are. My arms start to feel sore when all I'm doing is holding them out in front of me for a while. I'm sure over time I will get more strong!

That is so cool, lisa! I like my qi gong DVD a lot - it's very soothing. Do you find it calms your mind?

Log: treadmill last night and a yoga class. Feels good to be getting back onto schedule. My weight is back up at 127 again as I have been inconsistent with the yoga and working out since we ripped up the carpet and MIL's visit.

Log: last night I did 1.5 hours of twisting while watching Buffy. Weight is creeping back down - 125.5 today.

What I found helpful to getting back on track was rearranging the entire living room. We moved the love seat into the dining room, which is totally empty anyway. We also really tried to clean the plywood floor and removed some more of the dangerous carpet staples.

So now there is just the sofa, treadmill and one comfortable chair - loads of room for yoga now. No need to move furniture.

Good job on the twisting, Jill! Moving furniture is also a good workout. That's great that you'll have the room you need now.

I did 45 minutes on the exercise bike and 10 minutes of weights. I've also been replacing some wallpaper in a bathroom which is keeping me moving.
