These pilots prayed and their prayers were answered.

Sometimes Jesus is subtle in answering prayer. Sometimes He makes it obvious! smile

What an amazing story, Vance. Isn't that inspirational?

Many times throughout my life, when in crisis or seemingly impossible situations, God has helped by answering my prayers. I have always felt very close to Jesus and pray to Him often on a daily basis. You are right, Lynne, that Jesus is sometimes very subtle and also at times makes it quite obvious. I still remember the day I asked God to not let it rain when the dark clouds came rolling in on moving day and He did not let it rain, but, it snowed like crazy! So, when one prays and asks for something - one should be specific.

LOL Phyllis, the other day I was cooking out for a wedding reception that was being held under a pavilion and I prayed for the rain to hold off when in reality I should have prayed for the wind to hold off. The rain stayed away but the wind sure kicked up. I was there setting up for the wedding and was by myself so the wind blew the tablecloths off of the tables, blew the flowers around that were on the tables as centerpieces. Finally, when everyone arrived, someone had the good sense to bring some tarps and tie them like halfway down the pillars and all around the pavilion to block the wind.

It was still a great wedding reception and everyone had a great time. Like you, next time I will be more specific in my prayers. lol.

That is so funny, Vance! Yes, we should have just prayed for all to go well with no mishaps. Gotta remember that next time.

PS: I like your cross. smile

Thanks Phyllis. That is my own design that I plan on putting on things in CafePress. I created for a Humanities project in college and got an A with it.

All of the colors represent different things and there is a reason why there are 7 lines in yellow above the cross. They represent the 7 things that Christ said while on the cross.

I wanted to come up with something unique for the class and I did and then got the idea to do it on items to sell. I will get that going soon I hope.

Very creative and thoughtful, Vance. Good luck on your venture.

The number seven is very significant, I caught that as soon as I saw your cross.

Your comments about the number seven are true. But help me figure what this means. My last child was born in the 7th hour or the 7th day of the 7th month and weighed 7 pounds even. She was born at home and it was a very spiritual experience. My hubby worked 3rd shift and was leaving for work at around 10:30 on the night before she was born. I was freaking out and crying. I was afraid to be alone. After he left. I heard distinctly in my mind the Lord ask me, "Do you have faith that I can do this?" That stopped me in my tracks! I thought about it and realized that if Mary can deliver her first born child in a stable safely then I think God can handle this. I told Got "Yes, I have faith that you can do this." Right at that very second, my water broke. It was sooo obviously the hand of the Lord. Then with all the sevens surrounding the birth, it made it truly awesome. What do you think it means? Sorry this is Off topic a bit, but I thought it kind of went with the comment about sevens.
