I am watching the DVD right now - I can at least watch. smile

So far he's just doing some faster vinyasas with jump backs and some harder variations. There are some tough transitions like half moon pose to triangle. Even Rodney looks tired at the end- he's shaking by warrior 3 and the vein on his sweaty forehead is throbbing.

Rodney is doing Inversions now, the fun stuff. Handstand, elbow stand, headstand. i have not tried handstand yet.

Okay, just those three inversions are included. No crow, no scorpion.

Now for "integration"...

Integration:
Pose work - Full Supported Bridge, Camel, Wheel. Various sitting stretches and then Plow, Shoulderstand. Then some twisty stretches and restorative work. Savasana. A nice Hawaiian sunset.

No, Jill, Haven't tried it. I do like the DVDs Rodney did with Mariel Hemingway, but overall I'm not much of a fan.

You know Jilly there are studies that show just watching and visualizing exercise gives you a ton of the benefits of exercise, because of micro-contractions of your muscles. It was a fairly large amount of benefit you get. So it's probably great just watching those videos!

I really can feel the "sludge" in me now that I haven't done real yoga in a while. I am eager to get back into a routine. It's amazing how much yoga helps with daily health.

I've been out of my daily practice rhythm for the past week while visiting my parents in Florida, so I know how you are feeling.

Sometimes just a few minutes each day -- some focused breathing and a few stretches -- is a great substitute when a more involved practice isn't possible.

It was very neat. I basically had to trust that i would hold myself up and not fall over. I think a lot of these poses are about trust, actually.

My niece showed me how to do a headstand by using the inside corner of a sofa. I tried that and it worked fine. It's at least a start at getting away from the wall. smile
