Who do you think makes the best chocolate? I've only had the regular dark, milk, and white chocolate. I know some companies make chocolate with spices in them.

Hershey's always has been my favorite. Dove is good, too, but, Hershey's is creamier I think and melts better.

Mmm, Lindt is like heaven. I was at a wedding show and one of the stalls had a plate of little Lindt chocolates, that were there for free. It was the first time I'd had them, and my friend and I walked past that stall at least six times throughout the day

Hershey is always going to be a favorite of mine. I went to Hershey Park in PA and learned a lot about Milton Hershey - he and his wife were great to their workers and the community. The chocolate tastes great, too! And such a variety of it.
Dove is good, so is Lindt, have you tried Guittard? Not bad.... Ghirardelli is good, too! Godiva is wonderful......but who hasn't bought Nestle's chocolate chips to bake cookies and just torn open that bag and guzzled down some chips?
How about Belgian chocolates....like the seashells, seahorses and starfish shapes. Oooooohhh...how about Snowcaps or milk chcoclate stars that you can get at the movie theater? I don't know who makes them - but man o man are they delicious!!!
Well how's that coming from a diabetic? hehe

LOL...Has anyone ever wished they could sit at the counter of La Chocolaterie, in the movie "La Chocolat," spin the medallion, and have her guess your favorite? I imagine "my favorite" being the best chocolate in the world! Shay

I could list many expensive chocolates but many are so rich they make me feel sick. When I'm in the grocery store and have a serious chocolate craving I pick up a Dove Milk Chocolate Bar. I think Dove makes the creamiest, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate around. And I've sampled a lot of chocolates!
When I was a kid a Hershey with Almonds was my favorite.

Not so funny Chloe21. I thought this man was too good to be true. He's actually on a TV ad here in Oz. I didn't know! It's all just a ploy to get me to buy this chocolate smelling man's deoderant! I thought he really liked me....I thought he was the one... hehe, funny ad all the same.

This is a great time of the year to go to World Market (Cost Plus). They get in chocolate from all over the world. Last year I found some great chocolate from Kenya there. Also yummy chocolate from Germany.

It's neat how chocolates from different locations have different flavors. Hershey makes a world set (I forget the exact name of it) that has chocolate from 3 different countries.. and the different flavors are amazing! De-LISH!

I loved going to the Hershey factory as a kid, I can still remember the warm chocolate smell in the factory. These days Dove milk chocolate is my favorite.

I was in an absolutely wonderful chocolate shop on Saturday morning when I was in Paris. It is in the Rue Franklin Roosevelt and the web site is www.jadisetgourmande.fr - and the chocolate is some of the best I've ever tasted.

I used to run the test testing panels at Ambrosia Chocolate Company in Milwaukee WI. Well-made bittersweet chocolate won hands down everytime. Personally, the chocolate I could eat everyday, no matter my mood, is Lindt 70%. Expand your chocolate awareness and start tasting some different brands, side by side. You won't regret the experience! If you'd like guidance in this effort check out Chocolate University Online.

How can one choose? I can say what I don't like -- that fake Palmer's "chocolate" garbage. Ick. Not worth the calories, not worth the effort to bite and chew!
But there are so many I would be more than happy to eat at any time!

Lindt, hands down!!!
In my younger days, I used to eat about 6 Hersheys White Chocolate kisses each morning....and I used to wash it down with about 64oz of black, sweet coffee!!!! It was an incredible high! Strangely enough after the doctor sat me down and told me he didnt want me as a patient if I continued to do that, I quickly lost my appetite for a chocolate sugar caffiene high!

Ghiradelli. I was SOOOO glad when Texas stores finally started carrying their products. I used to have a relative in California ship out a supply every 6 months.

Hi,
Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate will be my all time favorite. Perfect texture and taste.

Hi,
For easily available kinds I would say Dove Dark and Cadbury milk. My favorite specialty chocolate is Vosges exotic candy bars. They have lots of interesting flavors like "The Black Pearl" (ginger, wasabi, sesame seeds, in dark chocolate.) The founder even co-conducts Yoga & Chocolate Weekend Workshops around the country!

Over here in the UK we some great little chocolatiers who make their own chocolate, pricey but yummy. Prince Charles has Duchy Original Clementine Thins, dark chocolate discs with the flavour of clementines. They are just the best. Who do you think makes the best chocolate? I've only had the regular dark, milk, and white chocolate. I know some companies make chocolate with spices in them. Unless you've tried the best chocolate made ever, which happens to be from Belgium, you haven't had it. Hubbie and I were given chocolates from Belgium for Christmas and oh, my Lord. We never want another American chocolate bar. Ever. The year before that we experienced chocolate from Germany and they were pretty good too. The ones the year before that were from Paris. We have yet to indulge. Those Belgiums chocolates are so rich and flavorful, you can't eat 'em but only allow the chocolate with its fillings to melt in your mouth. We still have some left and are saving them for throughout the year.
