Lol Elise...yep, it's mine. I have to post my pics on my profile in another forum and they put that on all the pics I have posted there. I discovered the macro setting on my camera and wish I knew about it along time ago..lol. That fish takes great pictures..almost every one I took came out fantastic! That usually doesn't happen.

He's beautiful really...but dang...today I was shifting him to my 5 gallon..when I cupped him out of the little 1 gallon he's such a strong fish he flipped right out of the cup onto my desktop... ...hate when stuff like that happens !! Well, I think he'll be ok but now his fins have some redness and irritation on them..(rats rats rats!!)..I'll just be sure to do a bit of water change in that tank every day until his fins calm down...

Wow, he's gorgeous EMG!!! Is he doing alright after his visit out of water?

What kind of camera are you using? (My birthday is coming up, my have to spoil myself! )
If you need a place to host pictures, www.imageshack.com is great I use it a lot. It has a place where you can register, and it will save all your photos so you can quickly find them again
Once I find my sister's camera, I'm going to spy on my fish and hopefully get some nice shots in He's so pretty

Lol...yeah, he's doing fine..he's a REALLY strong fish, quite a bit bigger than any of my others. I wonder if he's one of those giant bettas or something.

The camera I use is a Kodak DC3800...but there are cameras out there that are lots better. You want something where you can adjust the shutter speed and such. I can't do that with mine. But I suppose any camera is better than none..lol.

Thanks for that site, I'll check it out. I do have a photo album site where I have pics posted...but I can't link directly to an individual picture..I have to link to the whole site. I have another forum I go to that allows you to post pics on your profile page, which is nice...but that one's getting loaded up..lol..

Get those pics of your fish, I'd love to see him !

Hi everyone ! I've been away for a few days while my computer was getting a tune up. Lots to catch up on! Emg your new betta is beautiful. I'm always surprised to see the different colour variations. Brown and turquoise... very fashion forward lol.

Lol...fashion forward indeed ! He's also a big guy..at least twice as large as any of my other fish...scary! lol...he's a very strong fish and his fins are doing just wonderfully. I have him in the 5 gallon with a divider between him and my yellow female. I liked his color better in the 1 gallon though. The flourescent in the 5 makes him look more blue/brown than tourgoise/green and brown. Oh well, he needs the extra room.

What are giant bettas?? I've never heard of that!
I have a couple pics of Red Fish, but aside from my avatar, they're not very close up!
On Saturday, he will be moving back into his aquaview, he's having a vacation in a 1/2 gallon while I age his other water.
I know I haven't done this the way I would have liked to, but Blue Fish was an impulse buy, I wasn't prepared

I've been trying to let Red Fish understand that I'm not a kitty, I'm here to make him happy, not be mean, he seems to be warming up to me. I have him sitting with me beside my monitor for a bit. He keeps coming out from behind his plant to look at me, swim around a bit and hide again.

Blue Fish is incredibly active, and very much a social butterfly! He loves all the attention, and is so far, quite the opposite of Red Fish! I had the pleasure of watching him eat (I've never seen one eat, as Rainbow was too sick to eat when I got him , and Red Fish seems to like eating in private ) I must say, its cute how they eat!! I think they are both beautiful and can't wait to show them off!!!

When I was at walmart they had three gorgeous white pearly bettas. Oh were they ever pretty!! If my mom didn't think I was nuts for buying Blue Fish I'm scared I might have bought a pearly one!!
My boyfriend was right when he called me zoo keeper what a stinky rowdy home I shall keep when I'm not living with my mom!! eek!!

(sorry for rambling lol)

Mashi,

Lol about the zookeeping...folks would say that about me too when I was younger..always bringing home injured creatures and baby birds..

I like how you name your fish...lol...I do that too. When I first bring home a fish I call them by color until my daughter or I can come up with something better. Don't worry about Redfish, he'll come around sooner or later, once he figures out that it's you who dumps those tasty meals in his bowl for him. Wonderful about Bluefish's personality. What a character he must be !

I probably would have taken one of those white ones home..lol..as I have a few empty tanks sitting around crying out "HEY, FISH IN HERE PLEASE!" They were probably what you would call "Opaque" bettas as far as color goes.

Don't worry about rambling either Mashi, I do it all the time..lol..we all love to talk about our fish and this is one place we can do it safely without getting the funny look or rolling eyes.."there he/she goes about the fish again" look...(I have learned to squelsh the fishtalk at home and work..lol)

Enjoy your bettas Mashi, can't wait to see the pics !

Ah the two of you have reminded my why I feel at home here lol. My husband went to the chiroprator the other day and the receptionist was looking at their paradise (?) fish. She told my husband she thought it was kind of lethargic, and he said he thought I was the only one who was nuts with fish lol. He calls me "Elmyra" from Tiny Toons ('I'm going to love you, and hug you, and squeeze you') I'm still waiting for my own betta, but we're moving in a few weeks so that's on hold.

Oh, Mashi, I didn't mention about the "giant" betta. They are larger than your average betta. My neighbor has one and it's about 3 times the size of any of mine. Cool fish! This last one I bought is a pretty big fella and I'm thinking he might be one of those. There is just no way to cup this fish like I do my others when I need to do a super cleaning. I have to use the net with him!

I wanted to be a veterinarian for the longest time, until it dawned on me that I can't save them all! Shattered my dreams lol.

Redfish has been swimming a lot more, and investigating me and Bluefish, who he can kind of see, but I've noticed he's still not big on the whole eating game. I haven't tried the bloodworms yet because I don't have any way of getting them in the tank!! That'll teach me to read the label after I leave the store! Lol.

Bluefish is so sweet

If I had more tanks, I would have taken both beautiful opaque babies! They were soo gorgeous!! I just couldn't
I loved the fins on Bluefish, and he almost shimmers!

My boyfriend rolls his eyes everytime I voice my concern about any of my babies. Especially the fishies. He thinks I'm overreacting about Redfish not eating, I dunno. I do tend to overreact! Lol.

That's soo awesome about the giant betta! I would love to see pics of him!!

Fishwife that's cute what your husband calls you So you don't have any bettas right now? Or just none of your own?

I am having way too much fun with this, I see myself with a huge room, like a master bedroom just for my pets!! A huge aquarium, lots of small aquariums, two ferret cages, a place for reptiles.... you guys get the picture
Really what I want is a library to keep all my books and video games (more expensive hobby I keep) and have a large aquarium built into one of my walls, I think that would be neat!
But, back to reality!! *sigh*

On late Saturday or Sunday I should have pics up of both Bluefish and Redfish

Time to go make googly eyes at all my babies ehhehe
