I wax my brows, but my lips is too painful and stays swollen for DAYS!

Back to the original topic... smile

I went into renal failure with my last child, but having a tubal at the time was deemed too dangerous for me (they didn't want to put me back under anesthesia because my BP was all over the place). So hubby opted for the vasectomy.

His was outpatient. They gave him a valium to take about an hour ahead of time for the "jitters" then just did a local for the actual surgery. He had it done on a Friday, and was back at work on Monday. (Weird tip: keep a frozen bag of peas in the freezer, they work better than ice packs, because the small pease conform to the area and don't push on sore places).

Of course then 2 years later I wound up needing a complete hysterectomy! So we are both completely covered, LOL!

That's good, you are safe no matter what smile

I really wish this could be so much easier. What I actually wish is that they do something to all teenagers so they can NOT have babies - and then allow them to undo it at any point if they decide they want them. It seems opposite the way it is now.

I love books by Lois MacMaster Bujold - they are sci-fi, set way in the future.

But some of the things they talk about are implanted fertility control devices when a girl starts mensruating, aos there are no "mistakes". And the other is "extra-vitro" pregnancy, where the baby is gestated in a bio contatiner (not living), and all birth defects can be fixed ahead of birth. So there are no unwanted pregnancies.

{sigh} - I wonder if these things will ever truly come to pass.

I agree that the way things are now is backwards. if they took preventitve measures to insure no unwanted pregnecies before the tweens and teens started having sex and then when they prove they are stable and ready to be a parent have it reversed things would be much better off. I think a test that covers how you get pregnet and where babies come from, how to take care of the baby, what to do went baby is sick, child development, age aporpreate toys cloths and baby proving the house and child safty and child raising ethics . if a person cant pass the test they cant have kids! I also think that if they cant pass a drug test they should not be allowed to have or get pregnet. Meth and Crack and a lot of other drugs are not good for baby or kids! Oh and if they have any criminal charges againsted kid then they dont get to have there own either!

I am a frim believer in preventing bad parents and educating good parents. my friend had 12 foster kids in her house at one time with no husband to help her (he is in the army) she had all kinds of kids from all different backgrounds and abuses. She opened my eyes to alot of things. and one was if you dont want kids you should not have them and 2 leaperds dont change there spots! once a child sex offender always one and ones a wife beater always a wife beater.... Sure maybe some will change but for the most part they wont or cant change for what ever reason or excuse and sure it is sad to say but that doesnt mean you should let them do it again and again because you feel bad for them!

Prevent Prevent Prevent!!!
