A lady at work sent me this and I had to share. Enjoy!

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our
Pets:

1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the
furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'niture.
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, they are an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted
son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and
doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: Dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3. Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and...
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children

I think animals are nicer than people, too. Sad, but true. But I do skeev animals on the furniture. But that's a funny play on words.

"They live here. You don't" is my standard reply when any of my friends complain about the animals. The ex got this many times when he threw a cat off the chair or off the bed.

Cats, unfortunately, go wherever the hell they want. My dogs are not allowed on the furniture, but I'm sure they go on it when I'm not looking...

Any perspective man in my life will HAVE to enjoy cats in the bed. They love to sleep with me, if he wants to sleep with me then he will have to LOVE having them around.

"11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children"

That's my favorite - HA!

That was great! Thanks for sharing! Like Angela, my favorite is number 11, "If they get pregnant, you can sell their children." ha ha!

How can you prove whether at this moment we are sleeping, and all our thoughts are a dream; or whether we are awake, and talking to one another in the waking state?

Cute -- but as one who has allergies to animals, a bit unkind. I love animals, don't get me wrong, and would love to play with them -- but my body pays a terrible price for all that dander, even when I don't play with them.

People have choices not to visit homes that have animals. My dh is allergic as well. He LOVES dogs and we tried interacting with all sorts of breeds but he's allergic to the dander not the fur.

Anyhoo, when we want to get together with friends with pets, we usually go out or they come over. I would never, ever ask them to change their home to accomodate us.

I've never asked anyone to change things for me -- but some have, out of courtesy. However, there have been times when I must choose between almost never seeing them, or going to their house.

Re: dander vs fur, yeah, I have heard of the supposedly "allergy-free" animals, but since what I've read is that it is the proteins in their saliva, and they tend to lick themselves... well, kind of hard to avoid, isn't it? ;-)
