I am the step mom on 3 kids, 2 boys, 8 and 10 and one girl 13. the girl is very very manipulative and i have predicted every lie and manipulation and i was right. of course no one listens to me because i have no experience with kids this age., i know nothing. my husband also works all week and is gone for half the year (6weeks work, 3 weeks home). so when he has time with the kids, its all fun and games and keeping them happy despite the disrespect and talking back and lies.. i dont understand how my husband can just ignore all that because i certainly cannot deal with rude, spoiled (thanks to the ex) disrespectful kids for the next 10 yrs.. all i wanted to say is, i hear ya, unfortunately i have no idea what to tell you or what to do about it myself....
