though I don't listen to this type of music anymore, I will at least name my top three: Biggie (without a doubt), Kurtis Blow (old school), Public Enemy ...although you said three, I can't forget the unforgettable, sensationable....Tupac. thanks for asking.

I still think that Snoop Dog has such a unique sound (that slow-lazy thing, I don't know how else to describe it.

Eminem is one of the most creative ones out there. His language is horrible, and he's angry - but his music is about what he's going though. There are worse ways to deal with your issues - like joining gangs and shooting people.

And nobody has mentioned any of the ladies! Missy Elliot is amazing! I love everything about her. I loved her from the first time I saw her in that garbage bag, LOL! And I still love her today.

BTW - I really enjoy Ice-T on Law & Order, and he was a good rapper, but I think he is an excellent actor. He is perfect on this show!

Michelle, you reminded me of Ice-T, on New Jack City. I really like his laid-back, cool way of acting. And you are so right about the females. Way to go for the top three ladies of rap:

Salt and Peppa
MC Lyte
Lil' Kim (gotta' love her antics)
