i have a few CF books but the one that really made an impact on me personally was "why don't you have kids?living a full life without parenthood" by leslie lafayette.i thought the book was really good and very insightful. it talks about reasons why people have kids (most of them aren't good ones!), how to handle friends becoming parents, making new friends, etc..i would highly recommend it. i bought it on amazon about 4 yrs. back. i still look through it once in a while and since i have two friends who are expecting i have to reread the chap. on dealing with friends who are new parents!

Thank you to everyone for their suggestions. Based on what everyone said, I just ordered:

1) CF and Loving It
2) Beyond Motherhood
3) Why DOn't You Have Kids?

From bn.com today. Looking forward to receiving & reading them. Beyond Motherhood was the only one available new. I try to buy new when I can, to support authors. smile

I was just on BN.COM and they are out of stock of CF and Loving It.

There was no place for me to request it - I just e-mailed Customer Service to see if they will order. I hope they will bring in more stock so I can buy it!

Check Amazon.com and Half.com...those often have used books, so you can find out-of-print books, and get them cheaper!

BN.COM sent me an e-mail about ordering this book - hit the "Used and Out of Print Books" icon -
I did this, and CF and Loving It came up as $94!!!
I guess BN isn't going to carry this anymore and that is why it became expensive, although CherryRed just ordered it a few days ago....
I will check Amazon!

I hear you, Billie,

There was one copy of Child Free and Loving it for a reasonable price and one for a crazy price. I ordered the reasonable one, but now I got an e-mail this morning saying it wasn't available. I googled a little on a couple of used book sites and found nuumerous copies at good prices, but all in the UK.

So, I won't be getting CF&LI any time soon, but I will check some other sites (like Cindy said, half.com is good) like abebooks.com etc, etc.

I did see it on Amazon - buy it before it is too late!
(I am holding off for now - I have been spending too much as is.)
