BellaOnline Forums Relationships Married No Kids Pregnancy = Handicap??

You know if it's just me, and I have the option, I don't mind walking. But at our area mall, ALL the spots are taken usually except for handicapped and now these "mother" spots. If its the only choice, I'm taking it without a qualm.

I don't like having to walk through a large parking lot to get to my car. I live in a safe area, but I still don't feel safe doing it when I'm alone.

That was Bonsai who did the recipes. I wonder if she's coming back someday. I will try the recipe thing though next time it happens if I can remember (and don't get sucked in myself).

Meanwhile, I will miss Myrabeth and hope you feel better about it soon.

I "spoke" with Myrabeth - and she will be back. She just wants to take a few days before she bites someone's head off. (Wish I could do that in real life sometimes!)

May I add a reminder to other parents, like myself, that come to post from time to time on this forum: we are basically guests.

This is a forum set aside for those people that have, for the most part, chosen to remain child-free. I think it is fine to come in here and offer opinions from the "other side" every now and then. But when those opinions become intrusive and argumentative, that is like being the houseguest that leaves dirty dishes all over the house. Nobody wants you back.

This forum is our safe haven. A place where we shouldn't have to defend our choices or feel uncomfortable about who we are. It's bad enough that the world at large gives us a hard time, we really don't need it in here. We are in fact a support group. We don't need the approval of parents, we just want to be able to share our experiences and feelings with each other.

If you don't have anything constructive to add, please go to the "Mommy" boards, there are masses of them and leave us in peace. (or maybe we should bite their heads off!)

I would make it a point to park there, and if anybody wants to challenge me, I can always say "who are you to say whether I'm pregnant or not, maybe it's just not showing yet!?" Pregnancy was not a disease, the last time I checked! If anything, there should be close parking for those 90 yrs and above. Now that would be a concession!

I parked in the expectant mom spot at one store today and some man said "Hey, can't you read? I don't think you are an expectant mother bro". I told him until it was state mandated and against the law for me to park there, then I was gong to. He shut up after muttering some words under his breath. lol
