I've been on two cruises and I think they're great! Someone else drives, cooks and takes you to great places. You unpack one time and everyone does everything for you. There's buffets going every hour of the day, room service is free and booze is cheap. Everything is planned for you. Cruises are cool. smile

I went to India for 2.5 weeks in January. We will be going to Owensboro, KY in May. We are planning a week-long trip to Maine, Vermont, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI in July and we are considering renting a cottage on the beach (like we did last year) for a week in August. I would also like to go to an island over Xmas of '08.

Boy, do I love being CF or what?!?

Last year we went to New Orleans, Las Vegas, on a Caribean cruise and rented a beach cottage.

Next year, we will definitely check out AZ. So Sedona is nice, huh?

I am trying to talk one of my friends into going to St. Lucia! smile We'll see how that works out. I've always wanted to go there. I love travel though...I've always wanted to go everywhere! ha ha Someone mentioned the Outter Banks in NC...I usually take a weekend trip there every year...and yes, after August. Things are calmer and emptier - very relaxing! As one of my close friends says, I worship summer...ha ha I live for Spring and enjoy summer to its fullest. I have the "fever" bad right now smile Can't wait for warm weather and sunshine!!! Talk about vacation makes me even more excited!

How can you prove whether at this moment we are sleeping, and all our thoughts are a dream; or whether we are awake, and talking to one another in the waking state?

My girlfriends and I went Costa Rica for two weeks in January - that was incredible....we went white water rafting and rode a zipline through the rain forest. Then earlier this month my husband and I visited my brother and his family for a long weekend - we rented a condo up in Breckenridge and did some snowboarding and snowmobiling. My next trip is a girls' weekend in Scottsdale in mid-April...I live in Seattle and am in desperate need of sun and heat. I have Spring Fever too!

Yes, Flagtaff too. I was surprised when we got there. It was chilly and there were mountains! I thought AZ was all desert, but the northern part is cooler than the south.

THere's lots of luxury condos and hotels the further into Sedona you go, but we stayed the the coolest little hotel that looked like it was built in the 60's. It's the first one on the left as you enter the town. There wer these nice little sitting areas and BBQs in the courtyard, very homey and old school and a good rate to boot.

You have to drive through this windey canyon area to get there. It's beautiful. There's camping and rentals in the canyons too. And be sure to take the Pink Jeep tour. We had a lot of fun. Apparently October is a busy time there on the weekends, but we stayed there during the week and it wasn't busy at all. Hardly any kids either.

I was thinking about the Sedona/Flagstaff area myself.

My sister called this morning and asked if I wanted to go to New York for 5 days in May! We will have to change our plans for visiting KY to September.

Woohoo! Another trip. Count me in. I live for this stuff. grin

Thanks, Cherry Red, I will put your info on Sedona/Flagstaff in my travel folder.

I'm SO jealous! One of our airlines has just announced a new non stop to NY starting in July - they sent out stupid-cheap promo fares this morning - I'm pouting because I'm starting a new job and will be back to scratch for vacations.

"sigh" I love NY!!

I'm getting ready next month to take an Azamara Cruise from Barcelona to Venice. We will be stopping in Monte Carlo, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Dubrovink, Split, Koper then to Venice! My DH and I are super excited, there probably won't be any kids on this cruise, it's seems like they advertise it more for adults. Then next year we are going to Egypt and part of our trip we will be cruising the Nile!!! I just booked that trip. We are going this Sept to Northern British Columbia on a fabulous hunting trip in the wilderness!! We would never be able to do these exotic trips if we had kids. Nor would we have the money!
