I booked my trip to Nepal - leaving Nov 3 until Nov 20, trekking to Everest Base Camp.

Now I have the excuse I need to get into the outdoor gear stores (of which we have many, and they're awesome) and look at packs. And boots. And new digital cameras. And technical gear. Mmmm, my mouth is watering already!!

i need to find a way to start traveling more. my husband and i live far from family, so making travel plans other than to see our parents is really tricky. but, i have to get past my guilt and obligation and start doing it more often. it's one of the hundreds of reasons i want to be CF, but i'm not doing enough about it. this year, the only trips are to see family.

it was nice hearing about orcas island. that's where i got engaged 4 years ago yesterday smile so beautiful there!

No couple vacation scheduled yet, but we usually do something in October for our anniversary. It's less crowded then too.

This summer I'm going to the RWA writer's conference in San Francisco. I can't wait! Cons are the only time I get to see my online writer friends. I try to attend a large one every other year and a local one in between.

How wonderful! I've been wanting to do that trek myself - it may have to wait a few years, but I am determined to go one day. I'm sure that it will be a spectacular experience, Pikasam.

Chattycat,
Sedona, Arizona is a really nice place to go. The hubby and I went there a couple of years ago. Take a "pink jeep tour" and they'll drive you to all the pueblos and ancient ruins. Plus, it's Beeeyouteefull there!

I was in Ohio last October at another conference (I love being CF. If I was a mom, no way the hubby would be taking care of a kid by himself for 4 days in a row!). It was actually in Covington, Ky and just over the boarder into Ohio. Beautiful part of the country. Would love to go back!

Hubby has family in Spain. Both times we went, we traveled in late Feb-mid March (always bfore Easter) duing the low season. Prices were great. Last night we talked about planning another Europe trip. It's been too long. Maybe next winter/spring. smile

fbrittt, I know what you mean. My family happens to live in Oregon where you're from. My parents are getting up there so I try to go back there at least twice a year.

This summer tho my stepdaughter is getting married in Cancun so we all get to go there for 5 days, which is nice. My husband also has a couple trips to DC for job training so I tag along.
