"When a wine gets up over say 60F, it starts to leech alcohol into the air."

Do you have a source for this claim?

I am surprised you like cognac especially out of narrow mouthed glasses, as most cognac is not only served at room temperature, it is often served in warmed glasses or warmed by heat transfer from the hands of the drinker.

I say especially from narrow mouth glasses as of course the narrow mouth tends to concentrate the fumes.

Why do less fumes come from warm cognac than from 60 degree wine considering cognac has 3-4 times the alcohol content?
