I've had several uncomfortable experiences with male doctors too. Nothing like this guy, but still, comments were made that I didn't appreciate, and I've never had that happen with a female doctor. I've only had pelvic exams from male dr.'s a few times, like for an emergency situation or when my regular female doctor couldn't see me. So, it does stand out that of the small percentage of times I've had those exams from males, more than one instance was memorably embarrassing or humiliating. (Of course, pelvic exams are already hateful enough to me, so the last thing I want to hear is an inconsiderate remark on top it, and it is all the worse in that environment.) I choose female dr.'s from now on for that sort of thing, and I would assume any decent male dr. would understand that.
