oh, i will have to go check on your bikes there then smile And congrats on the two pounds!!! The italian food sounds nice.

Congrats Marvin's Mom. you have to start somewhere, you know! A pound is wonderful. Just not *gaining* weight is a triumph for anyone. smile

On Easter Sunday, I would advise people to try filling up on salad as much as possible and drink lots of fresh water, before the actual main courses. This way we can all eat smaller portions by racking up on the fiber first.

But also remember that if we slip, it's okay. This isn't a diet. it's not about deprivation! We have to keep ourselves happy on holidays and vacations to be sustainable for a lifetime. smile

Well also many Easter Sunday meals are

ham - perfect
eggs - perfect
veggies - perfect
salads - perfect

Just stay away from the chocolate! Hopefully if your family is being supportive they are providing SUGAR-FREE chocolate - or bring your own!!

Well my family has spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread with salad and cakes on easter.

I told my mother i was not going to come down to san diego unless it was okay with people for me to have more meatballs and salad than other people. last year I ended up crying b/c people called me selfish for eating more meatballs. they all ganged up; it was terrible. Of course in my italian family everything people feel they just say. smile

this year she promised more salad and more meatballs and that no one was going to give me the evil eye for taking more meatballs than two.

Your mom SHOULD get that family in line, I can't believe they would do that!! We all have different diet styles. There is enough food for everyone. Sheesh!! What is there some sort of a meatball shortage in the world??

Italian families should be about "eat more! more!" not about "stop eating" ...

Definitely tell us all about it, Marvin's Mom! I love my exercise bike and really like using it. The key seems to be to have it somewhere that's easy to use - like in front of your tv - and to not start piling things on it. As soon as clothes start to pile on it, you are less likely to use it smile

Well, Easter went well in the Florio household. My mom made TWO crockpots of meatballs and sausage in my honor - so everyone could take all the meat they liked this time.

And then she gave me one of the crockpots, which was GREAT, since I want to be able to put meat and veggies and spices in it and just let it perk along all day without my having to cook anything. smile

Now I will search for a low carb crockpot cookbook.

My weekly update - 125 pounds, so no loss this week (in BL terms I seem to have hit the wall).

Workouts: (oops, let me see when i last posted this, BRB)
