Last week�s Choose the Ingredient game was so much fun, so let�s play again!

For the next 24 hours, post one ingredient that can be found in the grocery store, such as a spice, meat, drink, sauce, vegetable, etc.

After twenty four hours I will come up with a �recipe spectacular� or �recipe disaster� with the ingredients listed in this thread.

I invite all of you to come up with your own recipes too, and we can compare them after the twenty four hours is up!

Hi everyone

I am extending our 24 hour Choose the Ingredient contest for another 24 hours.

I've been feeling sick today, and the thought of food isn't sitting so well.

All of the ingredients look great, so keep them coming and I'll have a recipe for you as soon as I can think about food, lol!

In light of not feeling well, I'll add this ingredient...

Ginger Ale...so thankful for it right now!

Seasoned Bread Crumbs for breading chicken or steak..

Here is the recipe I�ve come up with:

Pasta with garlic and onion marinara sauce, topped with Cajun spiced grilled chicken

1. Boil pasta according to package directions.
2. Saut� garlic and onion in red wine until soft.
3. Add chopped tomatoes to garlic onion mixture; simmer.
4. Combine Cajun spice mix with seasoned bread crumbs and rub over chicken breasts.
5. Grill (or bake) chicken breasts until cooked through.
6. Drain pasta, and top with tomato/onion/garlic sauce.
7. Top with grilled Cajun spiced chicken breasts.
8. Serve with leftover red wine for the adults, ginger ale for the kids!

Now, let�s hear your ideas�any thoughts on this combination of ingredients? What are your ideas? I know the ginger ale is a bit out of place, lol, but yesterday that and plain crackers was all I could think about.
