Workout update:

18th - rest day. 19th - 2 hours walking outside. 20th - nothing, oops! 21 - 45 minutes walking in front of TV. 22nd - 1 hour on NEW TREADMILL with new light weights! YAY! 23nd - 1.5 hours, 24th - only 15 minutes but at least i got something in. 25 - 1 hour. 26th - 2 hours. 27 - gentle 35 minutes as i think I strained my groin. Today - rest day.

I still don't have a scale but have to go down to walmart on saturday, so i will weigh myself on their scales there.

As far as lowcarbing, I haev been doing a lot of fiber lately but less veggies which isn't good. I've been super stressed and have not felt like cooking. at all. just pleased to be getting in my workouts. :_

That is SO great about the treadmill!! Congratulations!!

That is a lot of great exercise you are getting in there. I am so jealous smile

Fiber is good! You don't have to cook veggies. Have a nice salad!

A friend of mine has gotten into Tupperware and I bought a salad saver from her to be nice. The thing actually WORKS!! I'm getting a second one from her now to store berries in.

I have noticed I am pooing more with all the fiber. I am hoping this is normal?

I have also heard that healthy poop should float.

Is it okay to talk about poop? :-)

LOL there was in fact a House episode about floating poop and Bob and I joke about that all the time.

Floating poop ONLY means there is a lot of fat in it. In the episode it was a vegetarian girl and her boyfriend, and they came in because his poop had begun to float. It turns out it's because he was "cheating" on her and eating cheeseburgers and the fat content cause it to happen. So it is not about being healthy at all, it is simply about having fat in your diet.

As far as going more regularly, yes definitely fiber in your diet means that you go more often and more easily, it helps to regulate you. It always amuses me that in our society we talk about sex non stop but rarely talk about the digestive system, which then means when people have digestive problems they don't know if it's normal or abnormal or so on. It would be good if we could talk about all aspects of our body with equal frankness smile

So yes people who don't eat enough fiber often get "stopped up" and then have large painful poops because they all jam up. Fiber helps to prevent that, to help things flow smoothly smile

Okay, I got a scale today. 133 pounds! also a 86 minute workout on the treadmill, but really slow, under a mile an hour, b/c of the groin pull.

I guess the fiber is helping.

Okay, I'll confess: I ate [censored] food all week being sick and I've gained like the whole 5 pounds I'd lost. And, I couldn't exercise, either (I'd have coughed up a tonsil or something.)

I've become a cookie-eating sloth! (I'm pretty sure you'd find Cookie Monster DNA in my genetic profile.)

So, I'm going to take it easy another couple of days--my throat is still swollen and I'm still quite congested--and then, I'll be working my butt off to catch up. (pun intended.)

I have a trip to Colorado coming up at the end of March. It'll be nothing but fabulous dinners & partying at night & snack foods all day in meetings, so I've got to get ahead!

I'm feeling some sympathy for those Biggest Loser guys who went to Vegas last week! LOL

You poor thing Deb!! But remember, if you hadn't lost the weight before you'd be *up* weight right now. So you are net even which is a good thing!!

Hey fabulous dinners can be VERY good for you. Think filet mignon, asparagus, lobster, delicious salads and wonderful wines! It is all waiting for you - plus Colorado has great hiking trails, skiing trails and is made for outdoor activities.

Jill wow so is that 11 pounds?? I think you're in the lead then!! Is anybody else near 11 pounds yet? I think Lollie was at 9 pounds last count ...

Congrats Jill!

This is hard!!! (I am whining) I have lost one whole pound this week. Don't get me wrong that makes 10, but it has been so slow. Last time I did this (7 years ago, maybe?) the weight was falling off. I know, I know, That was then and this is now, but c,mon! I am leaving for Arizona in two weeks and had hoped I would be down a size so my summer clothes will fit. . Mannnn, I am a baby whining today huh? Seriously, I am proud of my 10 pounds and I am going to keep pushing. Have a great week everyone. WE CAN DO THIS!!!
