Thanks so much for the photos! I haven't been to Sturbridge and have only been to New England one time but I love historical places like that. Williamsburg is one of my all-time favorites for historical settings.
I think it's so important for kids to be able to visit interactive settings where they can learn about the past. This past Nov my husband and I went to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown and it was great to see all the kids getting into the presentations and taking part.

I was just at the Pequot Museum in CT - it has a walk-through village setup of an Indian village. It would have been really cool if it had live actors and actresses to talk to. It was fun to go through anyway, but I can imagine if it was a live setup like Sturbridge that it would have been even more powerful.

I love Sturbridge Village. Mom and I would drive to Boston from Michigan every year. We'd stop and stay in Sturbridge for a day or two.
It looks so peaceful in winter.

Yes I love it all times of the year, there is always something relaxing about it. In the winter you can imagine people in their homes with a cozy fire, knitting or talking with friends.

I first heard about Sturbridge Village about 25 years ago when I first received my Country Curtains catalog. I've always wanted to visit since then.

See, it's time for you to go back again! In spring, for the lambs!

I love the pictures. I used to live in New England and often visited Old Sturbridge Village, I can even remember how good their chocolate chip cookies tasted from their bakery.
The last time I went there was in the spring with all the flowers blooming. We had a dog that we brought with us and as long as we kept her on a leash that was fine. She was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and loved the Canadian Geese that were on the pond.
