I went under her profile and read the emails that she had been posting and Mrs. Robotix has been pretty busy posting on the Married No Kids forum. What a piece of work she is. I post on ivillage and we had a troll there and she finally went away...makes you wonder if it is the same sad soul who just goes from CFBC site to site and throws her negative energy around trying to see how the other half live. I don't get it....Have a baby and join a CFBC forum?? Maybe she lost some brain cell in her baby delivery!

If someone is really really happy with their choice to have kids, and that person thinks that we here are pathetic, why would that person feel compelled to come here and mock us? Does this person always pick on people he or she thinks are pathetic? Mock the disabled? Not saying we are in any way badly off, but if people really and truly thinks we are, wouldn't they feel sorry for us? So any trolls coming here and attacking us, to me, seem unhappy for their choices. Put another way, I wouldn't go to a mommy site (or "moomie", as I've seen written her, love it) and mock THEM but if I want to vent here I feel this is a perfectly acceptable thing to do!

Yes, I agree. But in case it wasn't apparent, I'm rather entertained by the average drive-by troll, though I would never encourage them to post. They are our devil's advocates, and I find their posts to run the full spectrum from insightful to *YAWN*.

We certainly have variety in our forum -- all of us are so unique -- and trolls only add to the viewpoints about which we normally post, albeit many of them go about it in ways we dislike.

I know some people are averse to contention; it makes them uncomfortable, so in the spirit of this thread created I think by Tress, I can understand why they don't like trolls. They/we prefer to have a place to call "home" with the freedom to say what we feel and inquire about others who might feel the same way without being interrogated or badgered.

*skips off happily to resume post at the CF room gates*

I think she went away. On the ivillage CFBC site that I post had a woman that was doing kinda the same thing and she was asked to leave.

A bit off topic: Why do mothers (usually those who are trolling through here) say "I was CF"??? If they are referring to a time before they were parents, wouldn't the correct terminology be "childless" or "pre-child" or something like that? I may be wrong, but I view being "childfree" as a LIFETIME CHOICE, not a temporary condition...

I thought the exact same thing, Myrabeth, just couldn't find a way to voice it.

"I used to be CF but then got pregnant..." screams to me you effed up somewhere and then switched support groups.

Exactly. I was thinking this the whole time I read the troll's posts. How can someone say that they used to be CF? CF is a decision, not a state of being until someone screws up (or decides to "invite a blessing into their lives" - bleah).

Tress, thanks for the PSA. I went ahead and read the troll's posts just to see what everyone was talking about. Now I can happily plug my ears with my fingers and ignore the same old useless arguments that do not change my mind whatsoever.
