Ha ha! That is a good point Grey. I think there is a physiological process with all the hormones surging during pregnancy and childbirth where some weird things happen with your brain. My mom used to always tell me that you forget the pain of childbirth afterwards, and I believe it. This study makes me think that having the memory loss extend into the first year may very well be so you forget how hard it is, and have more children. Why else would people do it? If it's as bad as it looks and sounds?
Also, I think the memory loss is inevitable when you're dealing with all that sleep deprivation. I think we've discussed this before awhile ago, about PPD being treated as this chemical imbalance that happens due to hormones, when doesn't it seem like depression would be natural considering the sleep deprivation and lifestyle change?
