Ilove1978, I never had baby mania in my household. My niece and nephew were born when i was 16 and 18 respectivly. My parents were hoping i would NOT go out and have a child at that age. Thank God too, my oldest bro is 43 (no kids not married he has amental illness) and then the other bro and me. No baby mania in my house growing up. It was great....
However, I went to my DH grandfather's 80th b-day celebration a year ago and my MIL was holding a family member's new baby. Everyone was asking me when I was going to have one and if I wanted to hold it. I just ran in the other direction. It caught me really off guard when my husband's cousin came to me and said "I have a request." I thought great she wants me to make a speak, but then she said "I want one of those"(pointed to the baby). I said oh, that is nice Wendy, "when are you gonna have one of those?" "She said never, and I said ok when you have one I will have one. Deal?" She walked away from me at that point....
