Welcome.. I'm pretty new as well... I've been with my partner 6 years (not married as not my thing) and I've got my PhD viva in Feb so appreciate how hard it is... So if you ever want to rant about either kids OR research... feel free! :-)

Aye, congratulations Dr. Linux Lady, on your Ph.D! *bows in reverence*

There are truly two sides to every decision, every position.

Mother of two vs. strikingly high level of education...hrmm. Choose the latter of the two, and you always have friends and validation in this room. Makes me want to complete my own masters.

Congratulations on your PhD, Linux Lady, that's very impressive! And Taitinfae, welcome and good luck with completing yours!

I too am slowly inching my way towards world domination...er, a PhD - still at least four years away, though, if everyhting goes according to plan.
