Monopoly hands down. I love that game. Checkers would be my second favorite pick.

In hobby gaming, those people are called "rules lawyers".

I love Clue and Settlers of Catan. Used to love Stratego but my husband beats me at it all the time...no fun anymore.

Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Backgammon are my favorites. It is hard to find anyone who plays Backgammon anymore.

Stratego, or any game of strategy really. I'm good at them!

I think mine is Scattergories. I also like Trivial Pursuit and Cranium is coming right up there.
My favorite game to play in a group is Apples to Apples.

I don't know if I have a favorite game. Mostly it depends on who I'm playing with. Dragonland is a good one to break out with kids. Hollywood Blockbuster is fun. I bought Vegas Showdown for all my relatives. One sister-in-law can't get enough of it. You may have guessed that I give games for Christmas gifts. Years ago I gave a non-game-playing sister Acquire even though I knew she'd never play it. (I give her things she likes too). Her adults sons recently said they have played it and they like it. It's a classic that's back in print this year.
There are a couple of card games my husband, daughter and myself like to play. No Thanks! is really good and simple to learn. R-eco is a new one that's pretty good and the one we pull out more often than not lately. It's a little more complex but it works. Milles Bornes is one I remember loving from my teenage years that you can find in a lot of places.
Jambo is pretty good and it's for two players which is great since it's hard to dig up more than one person sometimes.

In hobby gaming, those people are called "rules lawyers". My son is SUCH a rule's lawyer that we can't even play Pictionary.
