I love my sleep and rarely have insomnia. Now, after months of sleeping deeply and recalling few dreams, I am plagued every night by what seems like the same dream over and over again. Each night it is a different dream, but it's like my brain gets stuck like a needle on a record used to. This has been going on for weeks now. I've examined the dreams for meaning (like last night trying to decide what kind of noodles to buy) and rarely is there any obvious connection.
In my waking time I am not worried, overstressed, anxious etc. at least not to any degree greater than my usual base-line fretfulness!
Ideas for how to get myself out of this rut would be greatly appreciated. I've also considered that it might be the moon, the weather etc. Anyone else experiencing an increase in busy, disjointed dreams lately? Maybe I'm just lune-y toons???

So each night you have a different dream that is repeating only that night? You are waking up multiple times in one night from the same dream? But each night the dream is a different one?

You aren't crazy because of this if thats whats happening. smile I can't vouch for OTHER reasons you might be crazy but i don't know you well enough for that.

If it was the same dream on seperate nights, i would recommend trying to figure out what you are trying to tell yourself via the dream. Sounds like you already know that though.

So if it is the same night... i might try to give yourself and extra bit of time to settle down before bed at the end of your night, make sure you aren't eating shortly before bed, and aren't boozing it up either. Hopefully you have a comfortable bed. I would also recommend trying to make sure you have no repetitive noises on around you where you sleep. Not always possible but if you can... that might help. (ticking clocks, etc.)

i know some of them sound strange, hope something helps!

Hi NeverthefirstASH, thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. I had forgotten this post and this exhausting period- it was a perplexing time. I love my sleep!
I also wanted to say hi to Bellingham WA... one of my favourite places in the world is White Rock BC just down the road. One day when the tide was out, I set out to walk to Bellingham in the water, but it was a little further than I thought! whistle
BTW welcome to the dreams forum! T
