Do you know how you're going to phrase your New Year's Resolution?

Hmmm... New Year's Resolutions always seem to be such a hot topic. Sometimes, I have succeeded and other times I have crashed and burned!

I wonder if it is because so often we try to "force" change in a way that doesn't suit our personalities. Perhaps other times, we need to look deeper at what it is we're really looking for.

For me this year, I want to focus even more on living fully alive as who I already am. It's more about self acceptance than conforming to preconditioned ideas of what I think I should be. I'm inviting my true self forward and mustering the courage to welcome her in every way.

I invite your true self forward, as well. Who you REALLY are is more important than the size of your hips! If SHE isn't happy, then nothing else will truly make you happy or satisfied.

P.S. Funny enough, when I am my happiest, my figure seems to reflect it in a positive way! Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, but I thought it had a lot to do with PMS also.

i'm still trying to decide what to pick for a resolution. i might pick keeping a record of my spending every day for 30 days, or i might pick something to do with my knitting. I think it helps to make it short term at first.. like for ten days or thirty days, or whatever, because then you see the light at the end of the tunnel, and once you've started the habit, you can always choose to continue longer.

I hear after 20 days something becomes a habit. I really would like to quit smoking - I know yuck! I have tried and become an emotional wreck when I do. I am not sure I have time for a breakdown lol. I also don't have time to die, so we'll see. I can't commit, it makes it too real.

For most people it takes several attempts before they quit smoking successfully, so don't get discouraged. Each time you try you learn something new and get closer to your goal. Did you see the quit smoking thread we had in Self Development? Lots of good tips in there.

Holly - are the times on the posts correct? I think you are awake very late and that is why you can't get up early. Just an observation. I don't like getting up early, but my body won't normally let me sleep past 7 am. I just don't get it, now when my kids sleep in, I can't lol.
