I once spent a couple of days looking carefully at this one and articles.com - neither seemed very slick or professional and some of the writing was dire although I must admit I noticed some sel;f-employed business women were writing there. They must have thought it worthwhile. I dont know why I was so disinterested - probably the bad money, one was free writing - oh and I steer clear of sites where writing that might be considered offensive is posted.

I had a look at your forum - had you considered if online businesses could join in the forum? I would happily 'come along' to a net meeting? I will make my own coffee and drink it virtually along with you guys LOL !

That is the next step. I want to schedule a chat, since I have the ability to add a chat to my website I don't see why not.

I was thinking of starting in January once all the craziness of Christmas was over.

ezine.com is more about getting your links out there because if your website has many incoming links, the search engines consider you an "expert"

I have about a dozen articles on ezines.com. Some have been picked up, along with my website link, by blogs, newsletters and posted on other webpages, which in turn provides more links back to my website.

I've had over 4,000 page views of these articles so someone is reading them. I do it mostly to get the links out there tho. For those who write good articles, it does help build your website.

I posted 3 and 2 were picked up that day. I have received some good advice through their forum. When I went to read some articles and find the best ones, I found it hard. I don't want to waste time and I want to access the best ones to post on my site. I found a lot of articles I read were substandard or offered up very little.

So this got me wondering if it was worth the time or if it was a substandard site that would hurt my website to be linked to.

Hi,

I've added a spot for Online businesses to post their information, discuss their challenges, and brain storm with others.

Thanks Carennedy - I will be pleased to participate. At the moment I have an amazon bookshop, cafe press, lulu and hopefully soon - a website of my own. Will be good to bounce some ideas around!
