lol I guess I should have updated this a bit ago..

Yes I got a kitten, no idea the breed or anything. His name is Julius (all of our pets are named after deceased dictators..a humourous reminder not to be dictoral to our pets but to treat them like family) He is a wonderfull cat, in fact he is curled up with me now. The only part that I have found that is strange is he doesn't use his claws. Not when playing, not when wrestling, not even when climbing or trying to jump up onto the back of the couch. If he doesn't make the jump he just falls down and tries again, he doesn't use his claws. I had to go in and feel to make sure that he was born with them..Its kind of strange but doesn't seem to be effecting him negatively. BTW here is a couple pictures of the little guy.

Skeeter, he's adorable! I'm so glad you found each other! That third picture is beautiful. You should get that one framed.

Hi Skeeter,
Thanks for the update and the photographs - he's a seriously good looking kitten.
Hope you have lots of fun together.
AND he doesn't scratch - the perfect cat...
Our Siamese likes to scratch the carpet and the underside of the ottoman - the tabby is very bad - loves scratching furniture particularly soft furnishings and anything made of rattan or weave - he destroyed our outdoor setting in about 2 months - so now, we always think of the tabby before buying or replacing a piece of furniture.
The only thing he ignores is the cat scratching station - several platforms with rope and carpet covering - all the things cats should like - he's completely disinterested. We can't work it out...

LOL - sounds like a perfectly normal cat to me! laugh

Ours is obsessed with shredding cardboard boxes. Hubby gets a box every month or so in the mail from a company he tests products for (kind of a consumer reports type thing), and Trouble goes into rapture. It looks like brown confetti around our house for about 3 days.

Skeeter, he is beautiful. Is your wife getting any cuddle time with him at all?

You guys may have already seen this video, but i think it is so cute (and true!) I just had to share it again:
