My sister asked if I gave to charity. I had to confess, I do not.

Charity doesn't mean that you have to give a check for $1000 to the local children's hospital (although if you could that would be awesome).

Donating your time to the local soup kitchen is a very rewarding and useful chariatible act. You can really see the gratitude on those folks faces for giving a little of yourself.

Very true. But unfortunately not everyone does. Although you are right, of course, that donating time is oftentimes just as valuable - if not more so - than cold, hard cash.

Some of the best charity work I have seen was more hands up and shoulder lending than any money exchanging hands. Awesome work, please keep it up, sometimes we all need a little inspiration!!
