And if you want to be put off having children, how about The Omen? Not that I've seen that, I just needed to look at the kid on the trailer to know that I wouldn't cope with watching the movie!

Just make sure, if you have a child, that "666" is not on his/her scalp.....underneath the hair. That's from the "Omen."

So right Tbunny! We don't have cornfields here and potato fields aren't nearly as creepy.

As for one of the greatest Stephen King movies of all time... Carrie! It's really well done and you don't lose so much of the book in the movie.

The scariest movie I have seen to date -- in fact, it's the last horror film I'll ever watch -- was "Saw II."

Oh...my...gosh.

I had seen the original "Saw," and it was shocking enough. But my friends and coworkers said "Saw II" went way beyond the original, and they were right. Similar to the movie "Seven" (an AWESOME clever suspense thriller), the movie is about a man who wants to play "games" with people (still hearing the line, "I want to play a game..." gives me chills and forces me to look behind me) who he deems ungrateful for the life they enjoy based on the way they lead their lives. As a terminal cancer patient, he feels he got the short end of the stick, and he wants others to face judgement for their own vices. While he never kills them himself (he's never even in the room), he puts them in traps where they have to make a choice: live or die. Directions to the game are usually delivered via a cassette tape or TV screen using an evil-looking clown puppet. To live, most of the time, they either have to kill someone else before time runs out (sometimes 60 seconds, sometimes 6 hours) or they're going to have to do something to themselves that will, in the very least, maim them for life. If they refuse to move on the choice, it's a sure horrid death they face from whatever trap he's set.

"Saw III" came out last year, and "Saw IV" comes out in theatres in another week or so. As I flipped on the lights in my home office, my palms got sweaty in going to this link just to paste it in case you're interested: Saw IV

If someone ever wanted to play a cruel joke on me and get a replica of that clown puppet and set it up in my house when I walked in the door, I'd jump off the effing balcony -- not kidding.

Don't watch it alone! eek

"Seven" was a great movie. It's not for the squeamish, and it is disturbing. But the direction, acting, dialogue are all great. It is very clever too. Morgan Freeman is in it, and I love everything he has done.

Terrence,

I'm agreeing with you on "E III." Some great moments!

"The Entity" is about a woman and her children who are plagued by a truly invasive (physically, emotionally, etc.) force.

Good question, Valerie. I'll have to do some thinking on that one. Frank Welker has done some great vocal work.
