I know! I'll be 41 in January. When I first moved to Canada it was a "five to ten year plan" ... and I was stunned to find that five years rolled up in May, and I haven't even done half the travel I wanted to yet!
The way I've been getting through those feelings are watching my older-husband...hard to complain about being old when there's someone else around much older. Plus, getting old is better than the alternative!!
Hi Frieda: My husband is also older, just eight years. Lucky for them, they age better! But still, it is definately better than the alternative so we just have to take it with a smile - easier said than done :O)
Hey...My hubby is older too. He will be 48 in November. So he is like, wayyyyy older than me. He doesn't look it though. He looks 10 years younger than he is. Which was really funny when we started dating because he was afraid to tell me how old he was because he thought I would turn and walk away. What he didn't know is that I already knew his age because I had overheard him tell someone at a party where we had previously met.
Hi - I turn 42 in 2 weeks! 35 is a distant memory. For a few years in my late 30s I was in shock about how this could have possibly happened. Now I am fine :-) Getting over the 40 hurdle is almost a relief!
I know what you mean... I was also depressed turning 35 because you always here "35 begins your road trip to invisibility". This must have been said by a man. There are a lot of beautiful older women, outside and in..
