I don't know how far along I am, but I deduce about 4 weeks. Forgive me, but I don't want this child. Forgive me again, but I'm not going to carry him/her to full term just to place him/her up for adoption. I apologize to all those who have trouble concieving and I appluad all those who are can get pregnant at the drop of a hat, but I'm not ready for another child and neither is the father.

Going to a clinic is my last resort. I know how its down and that way is appalling to me. I'd rather induce a miscarriage than go to a clinic. Though the miscarriage may be worse cause it will just be me, alone.

Is there any truth to using castor oil as a labor inducer? Does it work?

Question here, how did you get pregnant, when you knew you didn't want to in the first place? One more, it's appalling to go to a clinic, but caster oil isn't? It's fine with me that you don't want to have your baby, but I don't get the rest?

I am rather taken aback that you would rather force your own miscarriage then seek medical help.

I fear for your safety should you take this route. If you value your own health and life, please seek medical assistance.

I look at a castor oil and other methods that don't require a trip to the clinic as a natural miscarriage. You're body has taken in something that you may have drunk or eaten, and it's response is that it is an unknown threat and purges the body. It's an enema, of sorts, of the body.

Though a clinic may give you a chemical to get the purge started, they also go in and sweep out everything from the uterus. And if you're farther along...

It's an ethical-deliemma. Sorry if I confused you. To me, it seems logical.

I would love to seek medical help, but where I live, my entire family is well known. Remember how when growing up, if you did something bad at school you're mom and dad would know befor you even got off the bus? The family-friend grapevine is still strong. Soon as I go for a check-up, word will filter down and I'll be up to my armpits in [censored] off family. I avoid going to any doctor unless I'm on the verge of death.

I do value my health. With the body of a 12 yr old. oh yes, I do indeed.

What a total cop-out....
"Oh if my body does it "naturally" that's ok...but if I get some other poor sucker to do it, it's ethically wrong!"

Guess what? However it happens, the fact that it either happens as a 'naturally-induced' termination, or a clinical one, YOU are still getting rid of YOUR baby. You're just creating yourself a smoke-screen with the ethical argument, and it doesn't wash.
Ethics is what makes you either do it, or not do it.
Not the 'how'.
I totally defend your right to termination, if this is what you have decided.
But stop with the hypocrisy.

Mmmm yep. It's not that getting "other poor sucker to do it" that I feel appalled about. It's the process. It's like when I worked for Disney. Though I loved everything about the place, I hated how things were actually run. I found alot of secrets that seriously needed to be shouted to the nearest newspaper. Getting sued isn't on my list of things for this lifetime, thanks.

And yes, however it happens, I am getting rid of this baby. I'd just prefer to try a "naturally-induced" method befor a clincal one. Call it a smoke screen, call me a hypocrit, call me a loopy nut job, but that's how I look it.

This whole thing has turned my stomach. I really hope you can get medical help. Maybe go to another area where no one knows your family. While you are there, ask about birth control. We are in the 21st century and if you don't want to have a baby, there a many ways to avoid it! I am sorry to the other readers if I am sounding nasty, but I just don't get it!

If you're 12 years old how about starting out with your school counselor?

I don't think she's 12 - the language doesn't read right. I think she's just saying her body is akin to a 12 year old's.

Except...it really isn't. Even if you are very petite, it is still a mature body.

Understand that I am pro-life, so this conversation is rather diturbing to me anyway. But trying to induce your own miscarriage is dangerous and quite honestly stupid. If your community is so small that an abortion would get out - do you not think that your being rushed to the ER would not also get out? Doctors are not stupid. They would know that you had been (or still were) pregnant, and would be more than likely to deduce what you were trying to do.

Plus, there is no distinction between what your body does on its own and what the doc would do. And often times, in an incomplete miscarriage (which is what you would probably wind up with) they would have to go in and do the manual D&C just to keep you from hemmorhaging to death.

Even if you're not 12 - seek a counselor.
