I took amitriptyline for a while (many years ago) and its cousin, nortriptyline. Neither one did anything for me. But they were actually prescribed for my migraines, not depression.

The article I read said that SOME women would have orgasms when they were having their hair combed out at the beauty salon, one woman reported having an orgasm while she was sitting in the board room. I remember thinking thats the kind of drug I need to try. I am sure like most side effects, its only some people.

I took it also and with the paxil and I stoped the paxil because of the laughing attacks....and the Amitriptyline did nothing but stop my migrains and make me sleepy right after I took it.... no sexual affects at all but then again I was not active then either....

HUGE turn off - when men watch PORN and think that its real and try to pull the same stuff at home in bed.
I hate this, drives me bonkers. My bf is like that he expects me to do what they do & act the way they do. If I wanted to I would get into the business.
