What end of summer parties are you planning?

How about a back to school party for the little ones?

I am a single mom interested in starting my own party planning business. Mostly specializing in Weddings. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get started on getting information to become the best Wedding and event planner that I can be without spending a fortune? Also I am looking at throwing my fiance a Welcome Home Party and would love some suggestions on that also

abersch's post is almost a year old, so I don't think I will offend her when I comment.

She writes "I am a single mom interested in starting my own party planning business. ... I am looking at throwing my fiance a Welcome Home Party and would love some suggestions on that."

Does it seem to anyone else that if a person planning on entering the party planning business has to ask strangers on the internet for suggestions as to how to have a "welcome home" party that person should possibly contemplate another career?

Just wanted to share a link for anyone throwing putting together a candy buffet for a party... it's for a set of custom signs from an Etsy shop, very cute!
