hi cdmhotta,

From what I read theres differing opinions. Some say that a scrub will just spread the bacteria and is too irritating for acne skin.

Others say thatyou need to use some sort of exfoliation to open the forms.

I think it would depend on the severity of the acne. Also the key is for it to be not to granular as that can be to harsh for the skin.

For mild exfoliation you can use your wash cloth to remove the dead skin.

I am using loofah as my scrub - it works. Get rid of blackheads and dead skin.

A loofah? On your face? Loofah's are great for exfoiliating the rest of your body but way too harsh for your face.

You can use a fine granular scrub that would work just as well, there are so many options for your face why would you use a loofah?

For your face...definatly. I find that even when its wet it still very rough on your skin. Especially considering all the other alternatives available.

Ex. oat bran mixed with a little bit of water is a mild scrub, absorbs oil and exfoliates the delicate skin of your face. Even finely ground almonds mixed either with water or your favourite cleanser. A washcloth..

I find that the loofah (i have tried it on my face) left it feeling very tight & dry and that is not what you want.

It's a natural exfoiliater. They have to be ground very fine. Personally I find it too expensive and would rather eat the almonds then exfoliate with them.
