Oh...about bettafix...it is a natural teatree oil extract I believe...but there is a coarse of treatment recommended on the bottle which should be followed if you are going to use it.
This treatment requires no water changes for 7 days...I would make sure the fish really needs it before using bettafix. It's the first thing I try when my fish come down with something that daily water changes with extra salt haven't done the job for. It's a very mild med and I have never had one of my fish become sick or weaken by using it, like I have with other fungus medications.

Well I told U all I was out at a LPS called SuperPet and they had some of the most beautiful bettas i've seen in a while.Well treated as far as poor bettas go.Well I held on to one that night forever it seemed before I put him down.I felt horrible I hate when I do that!I went back on the weekend and well what can I say he has a new home....its the same one I held on to so i figured he must belong to me and hes a cutie!!! my 5 yr old named him Cutie Boy(not sure how i feel about that one yet <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> )as soon as I get some batteries I'm taken pics I cant wait!!! Hes brown with yellow fins <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That happened with me and Jax JustL...my blue marble piebald. The first time I saw him I left him at the store...went back a week later and he was still there..so...he came home with me...lol...wish I still had him.. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I feel so bad today. I was cleaning out tanks last evening and my DH summoned me for something. I left Glitter in a little cup without a lid, thinking I'd be right back. I totally forgot about Glitter, and when I came back upstairs after dinner, etc. he was lying on the floor completely stiff and dry. I guess he must have jumped out as soon as I left. The worst part is that he's my son's fish. I was keeping him with the other bettas to keep him safe from the older son who likes to overfeed him.

That is so sad <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I forgot about my betta once like that, only I left for the night and had to put him back in the tank the next morning, because I was aclimating him to the temperature :-/. Fortunately, mine didn't jump out. You should get a new fish for your son <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
