You have obviously gone to some lengths to find that verse.
I was gonna answer your post by showing you all the verses that prove that JEsus was not actually a God but without realising ou have included one yourself.

"Is it not written in your Law, I said, you are gods?"

This was the style of language at the time. time and time in the bible people of high stature are called gods. Its a respectful way of addressing them.

Plus there is no point in me answering it in such a fashion because your post doesnt answer the question of why do people abondan the old testament's laws.

You telling us that Jesus (PBUH) is God doesnt really tell me why we should stop following the laws of the OT because JEsus (PBUH) himself stated that he had come to fulfil the law not to abolish it.
What I asked for was where in the bible is it said you can abolish the laws of the OT?

Goodness! I was just replying to the previous post. You said
Quote:
Infact when you say that Jesus and God were one, Im assuming since you never gave reference to your claim (as I have done in my text) that you are refering to the verse in the chapter of John.

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one." (John 5:7)

This above text was ommited from the bible in 1952 translation because it was found that that particular verse did not exist in the most ancient manuscripts.

That was all I was replying to. (This time at least) <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The Old Testament was the old covenant under God.

When Jesus came to earth he brought with him a new covenant hence the new testament

I will re-post these here before discussion gets out of hand. This is the code of conduct in this forum and will be adhered to while we are posting here. The name of this forum is Bible Basics, not "Is The Bible Real?" Or "Is Jesus Really God?" Here we assume these are true and we discuss things we have qyuestions about in the Bible. Or with Jesus in His message. NOT whether He was God. My first kind warning was privatly, this second kind warning is public. Please adhere to the code of conduct in this forum.

Bible Basics Code of Conduct:

1. We will not challenge the Bible as the Word of God.

2. We don't have to agree with one another, but we will not judge God.

3. If we don't know what a certain scripture means or says we will look it up in our own Bible and discuss what it says to us personally.

4. We will recognize that in the rest of the world we always face harsh criticism and negative reactions, but here everyone is safe.

5. Jesus Christ is Lord, Son and Saviour. He will be respected at all times.

6. We will treat everyone the way we expect everyone to treat us.

7. If you can't adhere to this code of conduct, then you need to find another forum.

8. I am the moderator of this forum and if you receive an email from me asking you to edit a post, then you must do it or be expelled

om 3:19 But we know that whatever things the Law says, it says to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may be under judgment before God,
Rom 3:20 because by the works of the Law none of all flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets;
Rom 3:22 even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ, toward all and upon all those who believe. For there is no difference,
Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,
Rom 3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;....

Rom 3:27 Then where is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith.
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the Law.
Rom 3:29 Or is He the God of the Jews only, and not also of the nations? Yes, of the nations also,
Rom 3:30 since it is one God who will justify circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make the Law void through faith? Let it not be! But we establish the Law.

So you see, the Law wasn't abolished but established to show us that we needed a Savior. One who could stand for us in the Judgement. An Advocate. The Law applies to all under the Law. And the law of Faith and Grace applies to all not under the Jewish tradition of the Law of Moses.

Shalom

Old Testament is comprised of Historical and prophetic accounts of events and people who actually DID exist and have some influence throughout time as we know it.

There is TOrah the first five books of The Boile ; there are historical books and prophecy.*all i the OLD TESTAMENT* these are certainly NOT myth or fiction; these events also have relevancy being parralleled to other sacred text in other languages; Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek.

Your cousin should start with milk before he tries meat. It goes down easier and gives you strength for the meat later.

~Shalom~

Maybe Jim you and dave are not suosed to BE in a *womens forum*

The headache issue maybe eyestrain or perhaps a guilty conscience with unrepentant sin; he may be able to drink a glass of cool clean water say a prayer and proceed; the water is a good help in lowering the blood pressure in general NOT as a medical intervention.

The Bible teaches that G-d does not *wllingly afflict*
He NEVEr does ANYTHING without a PURPOSE/INTENT.
