I apologize for waiting so long to reply! I have inattentive type ADD and I am unmedicated. I sometimes read something and tell myself that I will act on it later, when I have more time. Then I forget!

I have heard about a female/male imbalance in colleges. It was actually something we were aware of when my son was applying. Most schools do like to maintain a sort of gender balance, but many of the LACs in particular are very female-heavy. Male applicants may have a small advantage when applying to these schools.

On the other hand, my personal knowledge of grade skipped students is about 9 to 1 male to female. Something must be going on between the elementary years when these skips occur and high school and college. Are more smart guys opting out of the college experience and going straight into business? I'm not sure exactly what is happening.
