I don't think you would automatically have to convert to Paganism because of this. Though, I do think it makes an excellent point about religion: God/dess doesn't care if you worship him/her in a big, fancy church. And, really, I think he/she would prefer if we did get outside and commune with the Divine more.

I know you had your tongue in your cheek free, but I do agree with froggie. Any religion is just full of human beings who can be hypocritical. Our faith is totally separate from that. We don't need a church, temple, grove, or coven but it is always nice to find people of like minds. Maybe you just need to 'shop around' for that church that meets your needs. I bet there are also people in your church that feel the same way you do.

The thing is I have been shoping around for about 7 years now and they are all alike.... Thank God we are here in church to worship God! God loves a cheerful giver, give till it hurts our church needs a biger better whatever like the church down the road...you will go to hell if you dont tith, We need to convert the lost souls of the town...they are evil wicked and we must not make friends with said people until they worship as we do and remember this church denomenation is the only true religion!

I just feel like I could learn more about God if I stoped doing the church thing and started doing the Pagan thing!

I think i have been doing that for awhile anyways at lest according to my church anyways. because i dont have a perfect atteneds record I must not be saved good enough for them. I study the bible on my own as well as other books that strik my fancy and I learn useing my history background COMMEN SINCE and the Spirit to Guide me. I use the bible as a moral baseline and history book and timeline. but I read anything that i can gain insite from.

Again, I don't think you necessarily need to become Pagan. If Christianity works for you minus the other practitioners, you can still be Christian. You would just practice on your own, in the way you see fit.

Though, there are Christo-Pagans out there as well.
