I agree. Having no kids means you can pursue your life, goals, dreams, etc. The argument of "who will care for you when you are old" just doesn't hold water! There is no assurance that your kids will even like you as adults...much less live near you and furthermore take care of you when you are old....cause they will be out living their lives.

I just wish I had a "childfree and fabulous" day.

Very true.

I also wonder how many parents feel "trapped" and are depressed because of that. I know that many people feel that their life would have been different/better without children and would choose not to have kids if they had the chance to do it over again.

The study says that having a partner is more important than a child for happiness. This was very revealing study.

The premise of the study bothers me, though. Who said women's key to happiness is in having children?

This kind of propaganda is why people give us such a hard time. We have CHOICES today. And having kids is a limiting choice. It makes it so much more difficult to do the other things a woman enjoys in life.

I think the ones that don't mind didn't have that much going on to begin with. Having kids gives them something to do.

I am kinda hopeful that all of these recent studies are signs of change that are "a-coming" for other's view of the CF. I certainly agree with it. Great first post and welcome to the board!
