Hello! I've just posted 2 low-carb reviews in the Self Development Channel: The Carbohydrate Addict's Cookbook: 250 All-New Low-Carb Recipes This was the first low-carb cookbook that I bought after choosing to lessen the carbs in my diet. It provides 250 new recipes that are low on carbs--but high on taste! The Carbohydrate Addict's Carbohydrate Counter I love this handy and compact carb counter! There are more than 4,000 food comparisons in this book that are in two user-friendly formats: Alphabetical, and Hi-Low Comparison Charts.

...and I'm sitting here yearning for a Dunkin' Donuts bavarian creme waiting for me in the fridge...
Bavarian Creme is one of those cream-filled donuts, chocolate-glazed on top.

Bavarian Cream's from Dunkin' Donuts were my fave in college!! We don't have any around here, but Krispy Kremes do the job just as well.

Hey, do you know of any eclaire (I think Krispy Kreme might have them but I'm not too sure), which is like a regular eclaire but on the inside, the cream is chocolate?

I think I have come across eclairs that have chocolate icing inside. I don't think Krispy Kreme's has them, though. (They're donuts only.) Yum Yum's might have them, though, or even certain grocery stores.

I guess we don't have Yum-Yums, 'cause this is the first time I hear about it... unless I heard about it before and forgot.

Hmm. Maybe it's only in certain areas.
Looks like we're carb addicts indeed, Ice. LOL

Actually cream is reasonably OK on a low carb diet and the splenda chocolates they have out now taste PERFECT like a gourmet chocolate would. So you can make a cream concoction with chocolate that tastes even better than carbaholics could enjoy. You just have to skip the donut part Or get some low carb mix and make low carb donuts, that would be pretty easy

Is that true that when you go on a low-carb diet, such as Atkins, the second you violate it (by as much as eating a freaking apple) -- you get aaaaall of the weight you have lost back?

Ice, I don't know about Atkins, but the Curves program has carb-addicts go low-carb for a few weeks, and then gradually increase metabolism. It goes against popular thinking that if you eat, you gain weight. Curves wants you to increase your metabolism by eating so you end up burning more calories and fat.
In the Phase 1 part, though, you do have to stay low-carb. You can lose weight without sticking to it, but you lose much more when you do, especially in the beginning stages.
I have a few articles about Curves on the Self Development Channel, including their eating program--and how to tell if you should be counting carbs or calories.
