Yes Amadeus, of course Jesus submitted to the baptism by John long before his death. I did not suggest that it was after his crucifixion. It was actually before he even began his ministry. (John in fact was executed not long after this.)

My point is that Jesus did not mention the necessity of baptism in his Sermon on the Mount, and you'd think he would have if it was so important.

Ok Alexandra, Sure somehow a conversation that Jesus had with someone else could be a mistake, but, by the same token, couldn't it just be that when something doesn't seem fathomable in the Bible or seemingly impossible, too impossible to happen, that people simply pass them off as mistakes?
