I totally agree.
With a pc you can upgrade, its quite expensive, but with a decent 22" monitor, you have a huge screen. Or you can loop it to your television. And with an amplifier you can have the best sound, just depends on how much cash you wanna spend on it.
I have a new pc and a PS2 as well, which I both have linked to a great Dolby Digital Amplifier, thanks to the digital in and output.
But what the best advantage is with a Playstation 2 is that you have a great controller. I have never played a game on a pc with a relaxed controller
So just vote for the PS2!!!!!!!!!

Yeah It's a damn shame that there aren't any good controllers for PC, and it crashes a lot but that's just windows <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I vote Xbox Ill list reasons also, One - Xbox HAS the best graphic in ALL gaming systems out today, It even has better graphics than a normal computer. 2: Ive played every gaming system for a incredible amount of time and the Xbox controllers are the most comfertable controllers, I can sit and play Xbox all day and all night unlike cramping my hands up on a PS2 controller and whatnot. 3: Xbox has the most potential, Think about it, Microsoft OWNS it thus making nearly every hit game that comes out for PC come out for Xbox.

Why I did not choose PS2: I hate Ps2's cheesy graphics, They dont have a single great shooter game like Halo and, the only good hits it has is GTA vice city and FFX, and you know they cant keep making GTA's and FF's.. The controllers are also very annoying... Triangle, Square... Make it SIMPLE.

Why I did not choose gamecube, YES gamecube is small, but it also has horrible games, its only hit is so far RESIDENT EVIL, and that isnt going to support them. Even when that new game Techniod Prime or whatever comes out, It still wont beat the flawless graphics and gameplay of Halo, and then Halo II will be out (even better). And the controllers are even worse than PS2's.. It looks like somone took a crowbar and beat a PS2 controller, painted it purple and labled it a gamecube controller.

And if you think you have good reasons why Xbox is not as good, email them to me, Ill be happy to defend Xbox as the better system. So far Ive made 3 of my PS2 friends sell their PS2 and change to Xbox by playing a 4 player HALO game.

You who posted above me.. Kratz i think? (my short term memory sucks badly.. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ) Anyways.. I just got a few comments to add and take away. I got my Xbox this year and of c ourse,, i got jibbed and got the old hunky controller. I find it VERY uncomfortable and Ps2's controller is much more comfortable. This is my opinion though.. and you may be talking ab out hte new "S" series controller as well.

Now.. for the poll. Actually.. the poll is called "what is your FAVORITE gaming system" of course, i would vote the PS2, because it was my first.. and foremost always love. But if however the poll was named "what is the most POWERFUL gaming system" Xbox would win.. hands down. (sorry ps2 owners.. face the facts..) Xbox is totally more advanced in graphics than the ps2. Some of the games suck (erh erhm... JET SET RADIO FUTURE!! I mean.. who likes dancing while you spray paint buildings!?) for the xBox.

But however the Xbox does have some great games.. (halo, splinter cell). But on the other hand so does the PS2. Of course the PS2 has more games.. but not always the best.. (IE top gear overdrive <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> ) But some greaat games.. FFX, the final fantasy series on PS1, and GTA series. So as for the favorite system, PS2 will always be number one, but the Xbox is. and always will be the most powerful in the PS2, GC, Xbox console war.

Anyways, I would like to counter some of the things you said about the ps2.

1: Cheesy Graphics. Have you seen the videos in FFX?

2: Controller. You think the ps2's controller is hard? It is very easy. X, Square, Triangle, Circle. L1&2 R1&2, D-pad, joystics. VERY simple

however... the XBOX controller A,Y,B,X Black Button, White Button, RIght and LEft trigger, Analog stick, d-pad, another analog stick.. i mean.. its complicated..

and dude with the k that starts ur name dont be scrwewin on the ps2 controller look at the xbox an anolog stick up here down here pad right in the middle and the buttons a b y x make no since if ur going to use letters y not use a b c d and the white and black buttons are right below the abxy buttons so u hit them all the time when u dont need to and the "back button" wat the [censored] does that do the same thing as select y dont u just call it select like it has been on every system since nes and maybe longer because im not that old .....whew <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I also think that PS2 is the best because not only does it have a wide variety of games, You can also play your favorite PS games on it.[ff8,ffX,Chrono Cross] <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Oh yeah. The person that said the PS2 controler was hard to handle. Yeah. Uh-huh. look at the controlers on Game cube and X-box. those are crazy controlers.

PS2 is the best in my opinion i mean it may not have the best graphics like the xbox but it is still my favorite. It has the ff games and you know it is going to be a good system because of it predocesor the psx but thats just my opinion.
