Lord Buddha was 9th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
This is according to one of the oldest Indian scriptures- Srimad Bhagavd Purana a text more than 5000 years old.

Yes thank you CDM, but this doesn't change two things:

1) I am Buddhist, not Hindu. Therefore I do not ascribe to the notion of a,God Deity or Creator.....
2) The Buddha himself, declared quite vehemently and emphatically, that he was not God, a God, a deity or a subject of worship.
He was Just a Man.

Plain and simple.

Yes, I understand, but I'm merely pointing out that acccording to the Buddha, they are mistaken.

Let me tell you one thing.

In none of his incarnations, did Lord Vishnu ever say that he was God. It happened only once during the Mahabhrata war when he was incarnated as Krishna. That time for once he revealed his true nature to Arjuna.

So it is not at all surprising that Buddha did not call himself God. As I said, in no incarnation did Lord call himself god.

I know that one day you will know the truth, because you are a true believer and you are being guided.

Yes, but everyone else is calling him God. And he isn't. That's my point.

According to the mythology, all the incarnations were God.
It is different that now people spread different ideas and believe differently. It would be interesting to meet some monks and talk with them.

I have a choice of going to Gaya or Dharmsala. Let me see when can I go.

Even in todays world we see splintering of denominations; these fractures complicate the mission of love. The picture mared by prejudice and love in truth? Truth.

Actions of LOVE bring forth a fruit of rightousness.There are not mixed messages or false prophecies in G-d...no opinions or shadows of turning?Truth.

Can ANY man or woman afford to walk into the place of compromise and set before themselves the feast of deception?NEVER

A life of truth must be lived in truth; the truth of life is to live it truthfully and truely live.
