Gee Pondlady, I am in awe. That was a well thought out and lucid rebuttal to my post.

I also suppose you have a great argument for the fact that the government has forsaken you all down there in New Orleans after the hurricane and it is the Christians and the churches who are rebuilding homes and cleaning up messes down there.

In fact our church has sent tractor trailer loads of clothes, toys, water and non perishable foods down there as well as crews to help clean up and rebuild.

It's okay. I will still pray for an awakening in your heart and pray that you will come to the Lord before it's too late.

This is getting ridiculous. It appears that this forum has been hijacked. Don�t get me wrong I love an intelligent debate but one is no longer taking place here. The Christians have turned this into an effort to save us all with the rhetoric and outright preaching. Sometimes I wish we could still feed them to lions. Just kidding, but if you really want to save people why not try the other religious forums. They are not Christian so they will still require saving. And because they are members of other religions you know they are already delusional and will not demand evidence. It should be an easy conversion.

With all due respect and it appears little is due. What does that sentence mean. I looked at a tree, it did not help.

Piltdown man? That was exposed as a hoax in 1953. Charles Dawson in a probable attempt at fame pretended to find a �missing-link�. This is evidence of nothing, and it is a far cry from evidence against evolution.

Java man (homo erectus) is in fact a early member of the human family. Many creationists have argued that Java man was in fact an ape but an elephant. That�s a good one.

I am not sure what this sentence means either but if its in the Bible then please point out the evidence for me would you? Another interesting point is that your Bible is most certainly a translation so I am unsure how these numbers translated. Opps, I just gave you your excuse.


Stood the test of time huh?

Deuteronomy 25:11-12 � "11 If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, 12 you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity."

Exodus 21:20-21 � "20 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, 21 but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."

1 Timothy 6:1 - "1 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God's name and our teaching may not be slandered."

Once again, the burden of proof is on the one who holds the belief not on those who do not. Prove to me that there is no flying spaghetti monster. You will find you cannot.

The Exodus verse you aforementioned is supposed to protect slaves from abuse and in no way condones slavery.

People had slaves, God didn't tell them to have slaves.

Heck, Thomas Jefferson had slaves. An African American man in the constitution isn't even considered as a whole man.

Besides you were quoting the Old Testament which was under the old covenant. Jesus came and brought with Him a new covenant.

Leviticus says that we are not supposed to have tattoos or piercings.

It wasn't creationists who refuted the evolution myth from the examples I mentioned, they were noted archaeologists who refuted them.

Even Darwin himself discounted his own theories of evolution.

If evolution existed there would not be a missing link it is that simple.

I also wrote that the Chinese written language is proof of the Bible's existence but neither you nor Alexandra could refute that either. Why is that?

And you are also right that this is your forum but according to God it is our job as Christians to spread the Good News and minister to the lost and that is what I did.

I will leave your forum and I won't return because I know it is causing conflicts in your hearts with your own misguided beliefs.

I will just wait for the Holy Spirit to convict your hearts now.

It's possible 'she' is a 'he'... these pesky men DO try and get in and throw their weight around, don't they?

I love the fact that an awful lot of male evangelist/fanatical christian fundamentalists have been exposed as fakes, and have behaved quite badly in private (drugs, gay sex, prostitutes... obviously being sooooo contrite once they were found out, and blaming the Devil for their misdeeds...how convenient!) but you don't hear much about religious women behaving in this way, do you?

The other Biblical contradiction I take issue with, is the one that states that Jesus was born of the Line of David.

No, he wasn't.

JOSEPH was born of the line of David.
Given that we are led to believe that Jesus was the result of a Virgin Birth (God having made her pregnant,)and that Joseph had nothing to do with it, then it stands to reason that he was only adopted into the Line of David, because Joseph was not his real blood father.... It is further stated in the Bible that Jesus did have siblings...so in fact, his closest brother would be more "in the Line of David" than he was...

And Joseph's provenance is also under question... so lineage is a moot point here, because the Bible states that he was begotten of both Jacob, and Heli....

So which is it...?.

ok - I believe that as christians we are told to go out into the world and spread that word about god.

I do not agree the practice of shoving it down someones throat though, as is so prevalent on this forum.

This is an athiest forum, therefore people talk about atheist practices, NOT christian. If it was a christian forum, then it would be acceptable to talk about christian practices and beliefs.

If someone does not want religion shoved down their throat, then they have the right to ask the person to back off.

We all have the right to reject or accept what we hear. It is our choice. Everyone needs to learn to accept that, Christian ot Non-Christian.

Ok, I have to speak here even though I said I would no longer do that in this forum.

I didn't come in here to cram anything down anyone's throat. I came here to talk about Jesus and what He has done for us and the n I was told to go spread my nonsense elsewhere or to continue taking my meds or come up with other proof besides the Bible.

After that all happened, I may have gotten a bit harsher in my messages but it is something that I am passionate about. It is still my job as Christian to spread the Good News about Jesus and spread the Word of God.

I am a "he" and I had no intention of coming in here to throw my weight around as it was so eloquently put. Also, when I said in an earlier post that I would wait for God to come and convict your hearts, someone mistook that for a hatred thing or something or a wishing of bad ill.

That is farther from the truth. It means that I am to open the door by spreading the message and then God will come into your hearts and convict you with the Holy Spirit so you too can become followers of Christ and will want to reign in Heaven with Him.

However, that is why God gave us the ability of freewill. This way it will be easy to discern who will get into Heaven and who will be left on the outside looking in.

I pray that no one will be left on the outside looking in and I do mean this with all of my heart.

I do apologize if I was seemingly too harsh and as I said I didn't mean to be. I didn't mean to put anyone off and I do pray for God to give me the words to write in here to be a more effective witness but I guess when I saw myself being attacked and ridiculed, I went ahead of God and didn't put Him first.

I have apologized to Him and prayed for forgiveness and I know I have been forgiven because I have a peace in my heart about it now, where I didn't before.

I will still pray for all of you and I pray we all meet in Heaven
